I just read the part where Roy killed Lust and Wrath is explAining why he allowed them to live.

That whole battle had me on edge... First I though Gluttony was going to kill Hawkeye (she and Ed's sensei are my favorite characters besides Armstrong) then we got to see Envy getting pwned by the ninjas!!!! LOVED that. Then Roy & Co. followed Barry's body back to their lair and then battling Lust.

So is it just a matter of killing a homunculi a set number of times to exhaust the power of the stone or does it recharge between deaths so you have to continuously kill one like Roy was doing? Oh and has he figured out yet the the one who could change forms was probably the one who finished off Hughes? And that his murder of Maria Ross was just that - murder?

That pissed me off so much. Armstrong needs to flatten him for that. Maria was too nice to die like that. Minor character certainly, but still nice. And the setup was so obvious. Why didn't Armstrong tell Roy about Maria's role at the 5th institute and the way she was being used as a scapegoat? Even if it was just after the fact to make that jerk realize what he'd done...

And on a completely different note, does anyone have a theory as to who the creator of the homunculi might be?

Am I completely off track in thinking that he might be Ed and Al's dad? I don't recall them ever showing what their dad looked like, so it's just a hunch...
